Brochure Site Dark Mode Definition
Why
The brochure site design is taking shape in light mode (Illustrator). We need a dark mode variant produced by a junior designer working from the same .ai file. A clear, self-contained brief lets them work independently — with full color values, accessibility requirements, and brand context — while leaving creative latitude on specific pairings and illustration treatment.
Objective
Produce a design brief that a junior designer can execute without follow-up questions about brand rules or color values. The brief covers palette, accessibility, design principles, and deliverable spec.
Scope
- In: Design brief document, brand color reference, accessibility minimums, guidance on surfaces/illustrations
- Out: Code implementation, token definition, interactive states — this cycle produces a visual design artifact only
Key Changes
cycles/c46.brochure-dark-mode/brief.md— the design brief itself
Outcome
A self-contained brief ready to hand off. The designer receives the light mode .ai file, reads the brief, and produces a dark mode variant without needing to reference other brand documents or ask clarifying questions.
